Suspending Components from Aircraft Records

Post by TechTeam »

The link between Materials (Stores) and Tech Services (Aircraft Records) means that the Rotable Serialised Component file is shared. When installed on the aircraft, the Rotable is "owned" by the Aircraft Records department. Thus, unless the Stores personel have Aircraft Records password rights, they will find that they are unable to raise a P/order to dispatch an installed rotable part away for repairs. Clearly it would be unacceptable that they could as it would effectively un-install the Component on an Aircraft. It is the only Aircraft Records department who can "release" the Component when they are ready. These screen shots show "how to do it", i.e. release the component or to use the terminology "Suspend the Component".
